To keep your metabolism revved up you should aim to eat every 2 1/2 to 3 hours and 5-6 times a day. Each meal should be around 200 to 300 calories depending on your weight loss goals. You do not want to be overly full, just enough to be satisfied.
Here is a list of some good snacks. A healthy, well-rounded snack will consist of a complex carb and protein or a complex carb and healthy fat.
1. Granny Smith apple slices dusted with cinnamon with a tbsp of nut butter (almond or peanut)
2. ½ cup cottage cheese with ¼ cup frozen blueberries and a few dashes of cinnamon
3. ½ cup greek yogurt (I like Fage) with fresh berries (raspberries, blueberries, strawberries), tsp of unsweetened granola, tsp of organic honey
4. Hardboiled egg, yellow removed and stuffed with classic hummus. Then sprinkle with you favorite herb, I prefer parsley.
5. 12 unsalted almonds with a ½ grapefruit sprinkled with Stevia
6. Unsalted brown rice cakes topped with natural nut butter, fruit of choice (I slice up a quarter banana), a few dashes of cinnamon.
7. Homemade guacamole (avocado, cilantro, parsley, lime, garlic, onion) with fresh cut veggies and brown rice crackers.

9. Ezekiel sprouted bread topped with 1 tbsp of low fat ricotta, topped with raspberries and blueberries.
10. Organic blue corn tortilla toasted in oven with salsa.

12. Nitrite free turkey breast rolled up with avocado
13. Beets with goat cheese and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar
14. Tomato, fresh mozzarella, basil and balsamic
15. Celery with nut butter topped with dried cranberries
16. Raw cashews with a medium apple
17. Raw almonds with 2 ounces of sharp cheddar cheese
18. Kale chips baked with sea salt
19. 1 cup diced watermelon with 10 pistachios
20. 1 bag of edamame
21. 15 grapes and 1 low fat cheese stick
22. Egg whites cooked with 1 tbsp crumbled feta – topped with salsa.
23. Small Ezekial tortilla, spread 1 tbsp nut butter slice 1/4 banana, fold in half and enjoy!
24. 2 cups of air popped (natural) pop-corn topped with tsp of olive oil and rosemary
25. Sliced assorted veggies with hummus
26. Frozen green grapes with greek yogurt for dipping
27. Half an Ezekiel brand english muffin, topped with 1/2 tbsp organic spaghetti sauce, 1 tbsp low-fat ricotta, and sprinkled with grated parmesan. Pop is in the oven on broil or in a toaster oven for 5 minutes.
28. Trail mix - mix dried fruit (watch the sugar on this), nuts and seeds
